Day 3: Long day, short evening

It never ceases to amaze me how fast the time flies by after 6 pm!

Have to mention first: one of my favourite dishes at the moment has to be fish with green beans or peas, boiled egg and some dill and pepper sauce. The fish can either be fried in the oven or in the frying pan and have a crispy coating or not - I just love it anyway as long as the seasoning is good. The sauce is super simple, I just mix the spices with some creme fraiche. Yum!

I thought I could make some time for scribbling a couple of sentences about the mentioned dreams now. Like said, a couple of dreams of mine came true last year. One of them was giving a home - and a life! - for a dog in need. There are so many homeless dogs and other animals out there and I've always wanted to do my share in helping them. I've done some voluntary work in that field, but there's always been the idea of adopting one of those animals.

I wasn't actively planning on doing it quite yet, but then I saw a photo of a certain dog. My family has always had dogs around, so I know what it is like and didn't want to rush into it. But sometimes things just... need to happen. I just knew that was my dog.

Haha, he looks funny and puppy-like in this photo. His age is actually closer to ten than one - no one knows how old he actually is. This dude is absolutely adorable and I'm so happy to have him.

I spotted him on Rekku Rescue's - one of the organizations that help the homeless animals in Estonia - website. Go have a look, there are many ways to help. Giving home to a living creature is something that needs to be carefully considered, but you can always donate something: there's never too much food or too many warm blankets for the dogs to sleep on, for example.
