I suddenly got unbelievably tired last night - no post! I suppose I'm getting naughty. Gotta get back in line.
But otherwise I was pretty awesome yesterday. It was the Laskiainen (used to be the day when Lent started) which meant baking. I was in the mood for some more kitchen magic, so I tried out an interesting recipe I saw online a while ago.
The recipe included chicken, nachos and all kind of Mexican styled seasoning. And the result was delicious! Spicy, but not too spicy. I'm definitely going to keep this recipe in my bookmark folder.
Then the buns. Yum... Whipped cream and raspberry jam... Say no more.
Boo for not having anything to put on top of the buns, they should have had some decorations on them.
All that was topped with a couple of glasses of very good red wine and a few candles burning. Oh my, sometimes Sundays are absolutely lovely days. Funny, I used to hate them with a passion.
Today I've been just taking it easy. I've made some progress with the Brief wondrous life of Oscar Wao. I really like the way in which Junot Diaz writes. Ah, I think I'm gonna pick up the book and go to bed now.
